Preparation Technique for the CMA Inter Examination

ICMAI issued some guidelines for the preparation of the CMA Inter examination. These guidelines must be followed to crack the exam in the first attempt.

These Guidelines Should Be followed if by Every Student who Desires to Crack the CMA Inter Examination in the First Attempt:-

1. Try to follow the study materials or the reference notes recommended by the faculties and provided by the coaching institute. Studying these notes is must. 
2. Make concise notes of the relevant matters that the students are likely to forget. One may also make these notes by the sides of the textbooks that one is referring. The notes must be to the point, say an average of ten words in one page. 
3. Make the plan for the time available to cover the syllabus. Depending on this, make the daily or weekly schedule including the details of the subjects or topics that have to be completed. 
4. Monitor the prepared schedule or daily or weekly basis and underpin your efforts for covering the backlog topics, if any. 
5. Make sure to give at least two times revision prior to appearing for the examination. 
6. Go through the question papers of the last few years examinations so that one can be able to distinguish the topics and understand the trends of the examination pattern.
7. Based on the allotted marks and weightage of each topic, one can prepare. More time and effort should be given to the subject with more weightage. 
8. In the case of the theoretical subjects, try to give more emphasis on understanding the concepts clearly and its applications. In the subjects such as law, put more due regard to the case laws and the sections of it. In subjects like economics, invest more time and effort on the statistics portion and general reading of the magazines and the newspapers. 
9. In the case of the numerical subjects like accountancy, mathematics, and costing, put more focus on making the topics clearer. Solve more and more problems. Start your preparation for these subjects from the beginning and continue to practice before the day of examination.
10. Practice using your calculator to maximize the speed of using it in the examination hall. Remember that speed is a crucial factor in the examination hall. 
11. Try to be present in the group discussion classes of the coaching institute. This will also help in clearing many doubts and help in cracking the CMA Foundation examination in the first chance.
